Is it possible to ride from Houston to Austin on gravel roads? Not entirely, but close enough. Monaville to Granger Lake and camping at a Corp of Engineers campground. Managed to keep things socially distant and the weather cooperated. Let me know if you are interested and I can share the route. Will be working on other ideas - Sabine, San Antonio, Dallas.
