Eurocycle Tale of Woe
Author Last Post

I would encourage you to post this on BMWST.com. It's a very large, very friendly group that stretches the globe. Login, go to forums, go down near the bottom and look for a forum that says something like everything else. Keep it clean and inflammatory as you have here. The folks will appreciate it and take note.

So sorry you having this issue on your new BMW.

What reasons are they giving you for the lack of paper work? Did you receive a bill of sale or shipping paperwork? If you did, think you can get a Texas title with patience using a surety bond and have a bonded title. After three years and no claims, you will receive a regular title.

Have you contacted BMW Motorad USA? Almost time to get a local attorney involved.

Once again, sorry for your registration problem but imagine that most everyone is wanting to know what Eurocycles is saying. Please let us know.

By the way, 10 years ago when my '13 RT was new, I purchased about $150 of accessories from EuroCyles in Las Vegas and had all kinds of issue. Credit card company refunded the charge, dealer did not have a leg to stand on as they disputed, and situation went away. Surprised me that the dealership has gotten so big and expanded to other cities.

Good Luck,

Nathan

Dear Houston BMW Club Members

I post this tale of woe as a lesson learned for us all. Please read this and pass along as you see fit.

In June 2024, I purchased a new F850GS via the internet from Eurocycle (https://rideeurocycle.com/) who claim their “staff is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience that is at once premium, exclusive, passionate, and dynamic, elevating the relationship between rider and retailer.”

It took over two months for the motorcycle to be delivered. Although included in my purchase, I still do not have the title or registration for it and cannot ride it legally on public roads - six months after purchase.

Below find a brief recap. Note there is no slander or defamation here of Eurocycle.  I have had continued dialogue with them, they were given options for resolution, made no change to their approach and were told I would be informing local and national BMW clubs, BMW Motorrad, social media and seek legal retribution.

I did a national park tour with friends in May of 2024 on a rented F750GS after a hiatus of a number of years with motorcycles. I got the bug, and started looking for a F750 or 850GS to purchase. I missed out on a couple of bikes at a local dealer.

I then turned to the internet, had a dialogue with a number of dealers nationwide, and finally purchased a new F850GS from Eurocycle, who received my physical paperwork on 11 June 2024. The purchase agreement was ‘all inclusive / turn-key’ -  destination charges, delivery to my house in Houston from California, Texas tax, title, license.

The original estimated delivery date was ‘before or around 12 July 2024’ – it was delivered on 16 August, 2024. There was no paperwork, no title, registration or license plate at delivery. As of me writing this on 07 December, 2024, and after continued correspondence with Eurocycle since purchase six months ago and delivery, I still have yet to get this documentation.  I have a new motorcycle that I cannot use sitting in my garage.

Please find, work with and support local dealers. I am of sufficient age and experience to have known better – nothing is too good to be true and do not believe marketing hype and hyperbole. As a result, I have not been able to enjoy riding with you locally or go to other events like the Barber Vintage. I have purchased hundreds of dollars in accessories that I have not installed because I have no title to the bike and no clue where this is headed – likely to legal resolution.

I likely will not be able to join you at the Holiday party - enjoy !

Happy to discuss and get advice from any of you all !

Happy holidays & riding – wish I could join you.

Steve
