Meeting Minutes from the Club Meeting at Wolfsmiths on 2/14/2026
----------------------------------------------------------------
o We had 12+ attendees at this meeting. Probably due to the
weather.
o Premium Woodlands BMW has a 10-year anniversary party on
Saturday 2/21. This was previously announced.
o Two "Road Guardians" safety courses are being held the weekend
of 2/28-03/01 at Wolfsmiths. Course cost was being supplemented
by several organizations, and total cost was $75. We have at
least one member attending, and we've asked that anyone who
attends give us some feedback on how it went during the next
meeting. Fernando is recommending the club officers should
take this next time it comes around. All slots are filled as
of 2/21.
o Fernando encouraged everyone to renew memberships.
o Next Tech Day is being coordinated with Ted Skeffington for
March, but no date has been set. Ted is also working on a
project bike, a 2003 1150RT that has been donated to the
club. More news on that next meeting.
o Last month, we mentioned a trip out to the Barber Motorsports
Museum in Leeds Alabama for Octoboer 9-11 was being considered.
Recent news is that the founder, George W. Barber Jr. had
passed away.
o MPH Cycles was recommended for maintenance of older BMWs, and
we confirmed that Mike Haven and Davy Parsons are working M-F
now at his farm/workshop in HEMPSTEAD. Contact is 281-647-6557
or at www.mphcycles.com. Mention you are from our Club.
o MOTO 10 and J&B Cycle Works were also mentioned for Service
on Bikes.
o Discussion about having an AED device at the Annual Club Rally
was raised. Cost of such a device was determined to be a bit
excessive for our budget. Checked the Park website to see if
they advertised one, but nothing was noted. Getting CPR
Certified was also discussed.
o Discussion about dealerships promoting the club. Fernando
stated that Wild West provides a free enrollment, and he was
going to check with Will Scales at Premium on the subject.
New club business cards should be made available at all
dealerships....
o Pediatric Brain Tumor Ride for Kids is being held on Sunday,
May 17th this year. Includes Lunch. Starts at 8am at
2500 Lone Star Parkway, Montgomery, TX. If anyone would like
to take the lead on forming a group/team, I'm sure some of
our members would like to participate. See the website:
curethekids.org/event/ride-for-kids/2026-houston-ride-for-kids
$40 minimum sign up fee.
o Touratech has a number of Rally's during the year, and someone
mentioned the "TouraTexas Rally" this October in Burnet Texas.
The website www.touratech.com/en/magazine/post/events-2026.html
lists all events, but austinmotoventures.com/touratexas-rally
shows the October 22-25 event.
o Jerry Matson is still looking for experienced TWO-UP riders
to help out at the Ironman event in the Woodlands. They carry
camera men and race officials around. This is scheduled for
April 18th, 2026.
o Hill Country Hangout in Kerrville Texas is scheduled for April
17-19. Nick Bell is promoting this event, and Jerry mentioned
he has attended twice. See their link at
https://sabmwra.org/hill-country-hangout-2026/

April 23-26. There is a link on the Club Calendar to sign up.

required. The Club pays for camping fees.

Southwest Colorado ride from July 9-20. Check with him to
join up.
o The 2026 Annual Club Rally at the Oak Thicket Park (Lake
Fayette) is scheduled for October 30 - November 1 this year.
o Next Club Meeting is being held at Wolfsmiths on March 14th
at 9am again. We're looking to exceed last month's member
participation of 20.5.
