BMW Club of Houston - Rally 2020 Report
Author Last Post

Hello BMW Club of Houston,

It is with great pleasure that I let you know details about our 2020 Rally – 50th Anniversary.

I am very thankful to our 78 attendees at the Rally. You truly made it a great event, and your participation helped us pull it together successfully. Thank you very much for joining us at Oak Thicket Park in Lake Fayette.

For you that made the drive all the way from Tennessee, Louisiana, Dublin (Tx), Corpus Christi, Smithville, and other places outside the Houston Metro area, our Club is always pleased for you to join us. Thank you!

Now for Rally highlights:

Numerous attendees commented that they were very pleased with the venue, food service, road/GS rides, camaraderie and particularly how several of you readily volunteered to make the Rally a success.

Oak Thicket Park – Management and all park personnel were fantastic about checking on all of us. As a matter of fact, they were impressed with our Club’s camping culture. If you ever find yourself at Oak Thicket, you can ask for Lisa, Dale or crew members, and let them know we had a great time. Or if you want to communicate appreciation, here is their information:

Texas One Stop of La Grange – For years, Texas One Stop has been a great food caterer for our events. This year, Missy, Mari and all the crew jumped into action and it’s been a pleasure to have them support our event. Some rally attendees told us specifically that TOS food was great for the event. If you are out and about by La Grange, please take your time and stop by TOS to let Missy or the crew know we are very appreciative of their help. Contact information:

Safety On 2 Wheels – Thanks to David Jones and Ari Garcia, who helped us with skills courses for road/off road, GS riding trail, and especially for their help to lead road and GS rides on Saturday morning. Combined, we had nearly 40 riders that were split for our safety. We all could benefit from spending time improving our riding skills from beginner to advanced level with David and Ari. If you would like to reach out to them for training, here is their contact Information:

The Apparel Shack – Our T-Shirt provider eagerly helped us have the Rally 50th Anniversary apparel. We spent time putting together a graphic for the T-shirts, which came out great. You can reach out to The Apparel Shack and let them know we appreciated their help.
