WHERE:
The club has reserved 4 campgrounds at the Lost Maples State Natural Area campground, and yes, we sleep in tents! However, in full disclosure, we are not hard-core campers, and other than maybe some breakfast snacks we eat out at various cafes and restaurants!!

SCHEDULE:
Things all start Thursday--we meet at the Buck-ee's on I-10 in Katy at 11 AM and (most) ride out as a group. No formal evening plans--just set up camp and hang out!

Friday is the main event - we ride the 3 Sisters motorcycle loop! We do lunch on the ride and will plan to finish at the winery in late afternoon.

Our Saturday ride is typically firmed up around a campfire on Friday night. This year, I'm looking into a gravel option in the hills to the west for the GS crew, and someone will be nominated to lead the road guys. There are many options and it could be as simple as riding the 3 Sisters loop in the reverse direction, or a trip to Kerrville and/or Fredericksburg could come together.

Sunday
We pack up at a relaxed pace and head out mid-morning to return to Houston.

LOCAL ACTIVITIES
* There is a motorcycle museum in Vanderpool--this year we are really going to try and fit it in!
* The winery is nice and has a great outdoor area to enjoy if the weather is nice.
* Bring a swimsuit--the park's swimming hole is always a big hit!
* Lost Maples has some of the BEST hiking trails in all of Texas--bring some comfortable shoes!!

COST
$30 covers your campsite, and each person is responsible for their own day-use fees of $6/day.

Note, if you have a Texas State Parks Pass you get in for free--these are $70/yr, so you may want to consider this option if you utilize Texas parks regularly. Especially since it will be $24 spent on day passes just on this trip!!

ADMINISTRATIVE NOTE - Because of the limited space for this event, it is open only to paid members of the BMW Club of Houston.
